hi all, i have decided to go for it i want to go with taller bars on my 01 wg at the moment i have the standard mini apes with 4.5" risers and to be honest i like the look of the risers. would you put 16 or 18" apes onto these risers i think they would look fine or would you dump them and just fit the tall apes.

 

Personally I would go with short risers and taller apes but its what ever you like the looks of best.

 

I agree. Short risers for tall bars, tall risers for flat/drag bars. Just looks better to me.

I would go with 1.5 or 2 inch risers with bars that high....JMO

 

Yep yep, tall riser with apes looks like youre trying to get away with something.

uh oh i just ordered 4.5" pullback risers for my mini apes so i can get more comfortable, hope they look ok, but if it gets me in a better position i wont care.

 

I had 4's on my 8 inch baby apes on my sportie. Worked perfectly and looked pretty good as far as I was concerned.



1.5's with the 10 inch baby apes on my Wide Glide



Pretty happy with the look and feel of both options.

 

I agree with most of the previous posts....short risers, tall bars. Apes and tall risers looks like you didn't plan your mod well ....in my opinion.
