Anyone have an S&S teardrop air cleaner on an 08 Dyna?
First; the S&S site does not specifically say anywhere "Fits 08 etc Dyna" I have e-mailed them
Second, I have an old S&S Cycle cover I'd like to use and am wondering what the mounting screw spacing is on the new ones, if there is a bolt on fitment...

I doubt S&S will respond to your email, I have always had to call them and then got great help. Teardrop on your 2008 should not be a problem at all. Here is a pic during the first part of install on a 2012 Dyna:

 

S&S #17-0450 is the one I have on my '010. Install was very straightforward with no issues; just be sure to use the appropriate spacer washers behind the S&S backing plate 'ears' where it mounts to the heads.

their website hasnt been updated for years.
ive put one on my 2010 glide.

 

+1. Haven't called them in a while, but when I did a few years ago, technical support and customer service were very helpful.

 

S&S never did reply to my email inquiry, so I phoned them as advised. They were helpful; ordered the 17-0450 from my local dealer...hoping my old cast S&S CYCLE has the same bolt pattern; then it'll be cleaned up and painted with John Deer blitz black...will post if it works
