Default 25mm Axle on a 2007 Street Bob wheel?

I'm looking into a dual disc conversion and have the chance to buy some chrome lowers for a fat bob (they'll get pc'd black pretty quick) and am fairly certain that 2008 dynas have a 25mm axle.

does this mean in order to run my stock 2007 laced wheel that I'll just need a 25mm wheel installation kit? it comes with bearing and an axle so it seems about right - just hoping someone can confirm?

fyi, if it works out i'll be putting touring brembos on it!

Think about this, does your stock laced wheel hub have mounting holes for 2 rotors? Am I missing something? I have no idea, not an expert.
I remember seeing a thread about dual disc conversion, do a search!

yup, pretty sure rotors can go on both sides...
i've searched on the conversion but it seems that lots are on 2008 dynas, i figure if the axles have changed size then 2008+ fork lowers would need 2008+ axles - which my current wheel doesn't have... really hoping an installation kit is all that's needed here

You don't have to change your axle or bearings. The one inch and 25mm axle have the same size at the leg mounting area.

True, the one inch axle and 25mm (.98") axle will both fit into the 49mm lowers of the Fat Bob but be prepared for a front fender that will not mount up. The fender mount holes are differently spaced.
