I agree, this is a well made unit, looks good in the chrome version and eliminates the rubber breather tubes. Also look at what our sponsor, DK Customs has that may work for you. The factory football and most round air cleaner work on the Big Sucker

stock cover (almost)
I actuallt like the stock cover cause it works good, especially in the pouring rain.
I use the K+N RK series air intake Part # 1010-0671
PRODUCT INFORMATION
I modified the stock cover to expose the K+N air filter more.
Just milled 7/16" off the inside portion all around and blackened it.

I trimmed the cover way back on a ham cam just to expose the filter element. From the side it had the traditional styling que of the ham can but near the bike it looked 'fast'.
I trimmed it with a drill press. Really. Used a small cut-off wheel lowered to the depth I wanted. Then, with the cover flat and square on the drill table, I simply rotated the cover slowley. Makes for a clean, straight and uniform cut in about 3 minutes.
