Default SC255 cams are in...not a bad project!

Well I finally got around to my winter project of putting some Screaming Eagle 255 cams in the Fat Bob. Before this I was running a stage 1 Fuelmoto intake and map with V&H straight shots. I was great but I wanted more low end torque.

I did get a new map from fuelmoto but it does not seem to be the right map....bike runs aweful!! So I searched around to find another map that would make it run decent till I can get it into the dyno on the 21st. I tried several maps till I found one that runs ok. I used 814-012 for now and will be anxiously awaiting to get it at the dyno tuning session!!!!

Here are some pics of it all!

I am wondering what my numbers will be after the dyno tune. My wife and I ride a lot and I am looking forward to being able to use 6th more often at lower speeds.

I had 8K on my bike and everything looked brand new inside. I just waited till I had everything including the right tools and did it my self. The inner bearings was about the hardest part and that was not that hard! As far as a map...yeah...not a great selection. But I have an appointment with a dyno tuner on Friday the 21st. So I just need to wait a few days. Over all not a bad project! I followed the youtube video on the whole thing and followed the directions with my Screaming Eagle adjustable pushrods and had a few beers when I got it done. I did a little bit at a time over a weeks time.

Did you buy the Heartland cam bearing tool? That is what I used and it works great. Feels good to do that stuff yourself. Congrats and enjoy!
