OEM Headlight Mounting Block?
Fellas -
Getting ready to install the HD Fairing on my 11 FXDF using the Bung King 49mm adapter kit. I have the kit, a super glide headlight, and a bottom mount mounting block I picked up aftermarket but I'm wondering if it's the right one. The new models have a much longer mounting block so before the fairing arrives I want to get the right one if I don't have it already. I attached a couple pics so could someone who has done the mod using the Bung King brackets and spacer please let me know if I have the right one, and if not, what I'll need? Thanks!!

If your headlamp isn't lining up right in the fairing, see if Headwinds has one that will help you out. They are the only place I have been able to find that has such a diverse amount of offsets to play with.

I'm running the HD 1/4 fairing w/ the Bing King 49mm adapter on my Street Bob. I just measured the stock mounting block on mine and it is 1 7/8 inches tall. Yours looks a little shorter than that. You have two options: buy the mounting block from your dealer (part number 67741-06, $36.49), or buy washers from your local hardware store to get the headlight at the right height. Personally, I would go the washer route. It is cheaper and since it is hidden behind the fairing, it won't be noticeable.

If I recall correctly, my Bung King 49mm kit came with a 1" tall headlight spacer. My original mount is about 1 5/8" from bottom to center of the headlight bolt and the headlight bolt is about 3/8" offset from the bolt that goes thru the triple tree.
Yours looks to be a bit short and have no offset, so that may make it harder.
