Default Anyone done a DIY headlight bracket?

Not happy with the tucked in look of the stock headlight on my 2012 Fxdc I'm looking to move it out and possibly up a little with a cheap and simple DIY mod. Anyone done this or have pics. I'm thinking aluminum brackets similar to a tank lift.

Harley has mounting block for this it's a tall curved mount. I have one for sale I bought and didn't end up using. Cost me $49.99 + tax at local harley dealer. I'll be happy to sell and ship it to you. You can mount it curved either way backwards or forwards. http://www.harley-davidson.com/store...ersion=desktop

You can lay yours down and drill a new hole, add a spacer, etc.

Or you can buy like the one listed above.

Here is a pretty cheap one:

We have custom made a few of these, and coated them, I'll post pics when I am by a PC and not on my phone

Here's a couple photos of the harley one. It's the nicest mounting block I've seen, but I have seen the powder pro ones yet

Thanks for the ideas guys. So far I'm leaning towards kp's HD mount. Would still like to see some pics of bikes with this mod if anyone has done it.

A Sportster mount will raise and move it forward:

Sportster has the wide mounting width and it's straight not curved. I bought one of those and it didn't fit the headlight, tried to cut it and it ended up on the trash. Deuce must have the wide tabs on the bucket?
