Default Loctite

Does anyone recommend using loctite on exhaust flange bolts?

No loctite there at all! You don't need anything at all on those nuts but anti seize if you must, make it the high heat resistant copper type mentioned above.

Yep, anti-seize.
Heat releases loctite so it wouldn't do you any good.

Thanks guys for the info. Changed the pipes on my SB to the v&h short shot staggered and torqued to spec and went for a short ride and when I was done checked the torque and was off torque. Any suggestions?

Re torque. They loosen up the first couple heat cycles.
Keep snugging them down, they will eventually stay tight.-
That said, I still check em here and there.

Be carful with the anti seize. use too much and you will over tighten the nuts and bend your flanges. The torque specs are for clean dry threads. Not lubed threads.

I haven't put any on yet just torqued the dry.
Just wanted to make sure I did need to put anything on since they loosened up after first trial run with new pipes.

The flanges on my dyna look to be pretty beefy to bend them with a 5/16 nut, I use a 1/4 drive ratchet with extension and palm the ratchet.
I always worry more about breaking a stud than bending a flange.
