Default Hand cramping

I have a new low rider and after a good bit of reading I have come to the conclusion (keep in mind I'm new to riding and really value your advice) that my grips are too small thus causing the cramping after a couple hours. Am I looking at this right or am I wrong? If I'm right how do you figure out which diameter is right for me?

Know what you are saying I had a similar problem. I would suggest putting some kind of material over your present grips and build out the diameter of the grip and ride and see if it works. Another way would be to go to the dealer and sit on some of the bikes with different size grips and try that. Myself I purchased the ISO grips from Kurayaken for Harley with the throttle buddie on the end and I like them.

I would suggest paying attention to how tightly you are gripping and try to relax your grip.

Cramping or numbness/tinging. Two different issues.

Is it both hands?.. Do you have large hands? Typically it's just ones left hand which means you might be griping the non-throttle hand to hard - try relaxing.
I went with these Performance Machine grips which come in an XL, but I'm 6'2" with big hands

I spent $10 on a grip extension thing at a bike show. It slips over the throttle and completely solved the cramp issue. I'll post a pic later.

Grip puppies may help, they are soft sleeves of neoprene that slide over your existing grips, l've just fitted some, hands still tingle a little, but they are cheap to try.
Good luck.

I'd be interested in a pic of this as well. Does it just make the grip longer?

Cramping is usually gripping too tight, but numbness could be a nerve issue and should be checked out.

Boom that baby! I have told countless people who complain about cramping and numbness," relax your grip until there is a need to hold tight"!
