Default Best exhaust/tuner for low end torque?

So after some thinking I decided to not mess with cams or a big bore on my 06' Street Bob, and just wait and get another bike, but for now, if I plan on doing no other upgrades in the future, what tuner/exhaust combo is going to give me the best bang for my buck, specifically best for low end torque? Right now I got V&H short shots and the V&H fuelpak, but I know I'm getting very little performance out of that setup.

2-1 pipe will be great improvement over the shorties for Tq. Also if you dont mind the check engine light coming on during long idle sessions (IE) waiting at a red light add a pair of XIED's not the dyna ones for the 06 and use them with your tuner i think you see a pretty healthy improvement on the low to middle range.

With the fuel pack you have you should be able to load a better map.
The more back pressure your exhaust the better low end torque you get.
You may just need a better longer exhaust.

From everything else I've read the fuelpak is ****, does a very basic tune with lots of room for improvement. For exhaust I'm leaning towards a thunderheader, and for a tuner I'm thinking either powercommander 3 or V

Not a fan of the thunderheader or the power commanders. May i suggest looking at a TTS programer instead. I really doubt you need a differant tuner for what you are doing but that's just me. But as far as the thunder header i just think there better options out there maybe the V&H Pro pipe ?

Don't overlook the Patriot Defender. Great price with great dyno sheets.

Another option would be adding thunder torque inserts to your current setup.

They are made for open exhaust. They boot the low and mid range torque. You can learn more about them at this LINK.

Here is a Dyno Chart that shows the improvements.

My own experience is not to use torque cones. I have only ever found they reduce power across the piece on Harleys. The best they can do is make a very poor exhaust (like Short Shots or drag pipes) slightly better at low revs.

You want a big pipe with a fat can on the end. I'd not pick anything at all from V&H, they are all about looks and noise and nothing about performance.

I just installed a V&H Pro Pipe and Fuel Moto Micro EFI tuner on my 103...The new low end grunt is phenomenal
