I put switch back boards on my 06 superglide a couple years ago and over all like them alot

i want to move them back about 2" without moving them out any, definatly dont want to move them out, also plan to leave the brake and shifter as is

These images might give you an idea...

The idea is simple; it's an adapter mounted onto the fwd and mid control brackets. The floorboards are mounted to the adapter. Here are some images (in cell phone quality):

that is cool way to do it, i like the bar that links the soppurt brackets to the boards

the way mine is is i have the front and rear support brackets that come with the switchback and they mount direct to the floor boards. i am thinking of making or buying some sort or bracket that offsets the boards, basically goes between the soppurt brackets and boards.

i have seen a couple that are made to move boards foward something like 1 1/2" and out 1". im sure you can reverse them and they will work fine but i am trying to not move them out away from the bike.

i assume that you had those brackets made. i have not seen those before. they look great

That's not my bike...I noticed these brackets on a Dyna at a Harley meet two years ago.

Why not make a set of adapters to connect to the FB mounts and FB to move it rear ward.
This way you can keep the same distance between the FB and engine/frame etc...
If you weren't in Texas I could make you a set. Easy enough to make.

The only thing I would think to prevent you from just moving them straight back would be exhaust interference.

Post a pic or two and maybe we can all get some ideas for you.

The brake side should be pretty simple...the exhaust will be the bugger.
