Ok talked to harley dealer told him was adding cams 57-H asked about needing a tuner. He said your bike has stage 1 in the ecm and that is true. He told me that will be just fine with them cam's. o i ask the experts here is dealer telling the truth? I mean sounds odd he did not think i need and anything else , Hell i thought he try to sell me every gizmo known. Bike is a 06 Dyna. So what is the truth folks dont want to cook the motor.

Nah. The bike (assuming its a model with O2 sensors) can just about cope with stage-1 hardware, start adding cams and you do need a tuner. Its a fast way to cook your engine if you don't.

 

It sounds like your on track to upgrading that bike, and the more we get the more we want, it's the nature of the beast. Go with a tuner and don't waste any more money on dealer downloads!

If your gonna stop at cams get a dyno or something cheap like pc-v, but if your going to go on like most of us have get a powervision, that is the best ticket out there.

Besides needing a tuner, you also need a new dealer.

 

stage 1 is a junk canned tune. JUNK

 

Dealer downloads are a waste! Evreytime I see a post regarding these downloads I try to stear the person away, they are just a waste of $$$$$$$.
