I installed Custom Dynamics front and back and like them very much. Very very easy to install. Plug and play. Very bright. Waiting for the head light to be developed.

Do the LED signals blink at the same rate as standard bulbs ? I thought they required a resistor or something to work right. (I'm obviously no expert).

an 03 will require a load equalizer to stop fast blink.

you might want to consider whether you want to add run turn stop to the signals as well best to do it at the same time as the led upgrade so you dont wind up rebuying stuff ( for color choices)

+1 on the custom dynamics. if i were doing it again it'd be the moonshines in the front and the dynamic clusters in the back.

there are less expensive kits out there. but the CD drop ins are bright.
think it took all of 20 minutes to do the 4 blinkers, brake light, load equalizer and run turn stop module. and thats including drinking my beer.

I appreciate the responses and willingness to help guys I guess I should have explained better, when I say indicator lights I mean the dummy lights (turn signal, high beam, oil etc.) Not the actual turn signals or head/tail lights

you could change them out with out to much trouble there two ways to skin that cat. One if you get standard 3 volt LED's you need to have a resistor in line with each led to drop the voltage to that required to make it work. Little bit of Ohms law will help you there. Or you can get 12 volt led's and make it simple. try going to WWW.Mouser.com and search for the led's you want as they have tons to pic from and and they do not have a minimum order amount. If you have a local electronic whiz kid around ask them to help pic the proper units. or try a radio shack store and hope your salesman there don't look at you with a blank stare in there eye's when you explain what your doing.

Unless you know what you're doing...leave it to the experts. I'd say call a vendor and ask questions, so you gain knowledge on project depth. Here's one for starters:

My dash lights are 12 volt,
I didn't know the dash lights on newer bikes were a lower voltage.

near as i can tell from the parts fiche its a #74 wedge bulb ( goes by a few other numbers as well) for the console indicators. hd part number 68024-94
its like 7 bux for a pack of 10 led's for that. its worth a try to see if it works without a load resistor. all of those bulbs are pretty low draw (0.1 amps) so i'd be suprised if they didnt just snap in ( assuming polarity is correct, if not reverse the light) and work perfectly.

this would be a direct snap in upgrade to the existing console lights. no wiring required.
