Also did you go air or stay with springs. These shocks will be for a new wideglide and I'm 260 lbs.

Have you turned up the preload on your stock shocks yet? It would be a heck of a lot cheaper than new shocks.

I went to the progressive 412 12.6 inch shock.
Solved my problem. This is 2 up
At your weight I would consider the HD progressive shocks or equivalent. Comparable.

I'm running Progressive 412HD 12" shocks. No issues bottoming out with my wife and I (about 350lbs combined + saddlebags) but I wouldn't by any means consider them smooth riding.

I went from the stock 12" to 12.6" on the Ohlins. Not bottoming out was one of the benefits, and the bike is way more stable and comfortable than the Progressive 440's I had on there before, even though they were better than the HD stockers.

I will never go less than 12", my chick weighs 110lbs. If you ride a lot of 2up, I suggest 13".

12.5 ricors. Like others have said, if you put your stock shocks on position 5 you won't bottom out

I swapped my springs out for HD Street Glide air shocks...I believe they're 12.5in. Just put in some heavier oil and run 12-18psi depending on how I plan on riding or if I'm 2-up. Best cheap upgrade ever!!

13" Progressive 440's stopped the scraping on mountain roads. Good improvement from stock 12" regarding dampening, handling, and overall comfort. Weigh 180 lbs and have minimum preload set.
