Default harley "profile low" vs progressive shocks?

Hey all I am looking at lowering the *** of my 97 wide glide a bit. There are currently progressive shocks on there they look older not sure what model but they are stock height. I like the looks of the 11.5" harley fox shocks and the price but dont want to sacrifice too much ride quality and 2 up capability. Unfortunately progressive only makes the expensive model of shocks in 11.5 and I just cant afford that. So my options are get the harley low profile shocks or get 12" progressive 412s. Just dont know if that 1/2 inch drop will lower it as much as I want. Any input from harley low pro owners?

I went with a set of stock Fatbob covered shock, picked up a set on the forum used for 100.00, they are 12inch and I love the ride, much better than stock dyna shocks, also HD sell these as there premium lowering shock for 500.00 where I live

Just had an idea. Since I already have progressive shocks will lowering blocks (1") affect my ride quality that much? This is a much cheaper solution

The fatbob shocks I got were from a 2010, my bike is a 2002 and zero issues installing, should fit your 97 no problem as for lowering blocks what I found it changed the angle of the shock too much and I had to increase preload otherwise it was too soft
