Default questions on front end for fxdl wide glide conversion and 49mm forks 2003fxdl

Looking to either do one or the other. A wide glide front end using my 39 mm forks if so what kits are good and well made? Might lean more towards this since I have already upgraded my fort springs.

Or is it possible to put the newer 49 mm forks on a 2003 fxdl? And what does it entail for this swap?

I did the 39mm conversion myself a while back (see this link for recent pics https://www.hdforums.com/forum/dyna-...-opinions.html ). The company I used was http://vulcanworks.net/store_4/home.php and while the installation went well and still looks good today, there is some pitting / chips where debris has hit the chrome throughout the years.

I have an 05 fxdli, found accutronics 5 degree trees with larger tubes from a street bob, put a 21" front tire/wheel off a wide glide (had to change wheel bearings) bought a different headlight, works great pretty much a bolt on conversion

That kit looks good. Only question I have is will I be able to use my stock headlight and visor with my instruments mounted in the same area as stock? Because I have no interest in changing my headlight setup yet

Look into J & P Cycles. They have "kits" for Wideglide" conversions. If you use non OEM parts, kiss the headlight visor bye bye. You will have to change over to a Wideglide style headlight.

Put them in the console or make a bracket. I put just two in my console but others have used more depends on what you want. I only wanted neutral and oil.

Looks like the Accutronics kit keeps the headlight and visor I will call that company today and find out for sure.
