Default Can anyone identify the front of my Bike?

Hi. I have a 1985 FXEF Fat Bob. I know the front end is not stock / original.
But I do not know what it is. What it came off of. Can anyone help?
I'd like to put a new tire on the front, it would help if I knew the set up.

While I'm at it. Is the rear suspension correct? Reason I ask - there is no oil filter and I cannot see where one would fit - especially in the stock position.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks Pete

Nice looking bike! I think your oil filter is located pretty much in the same place as my old FXR. Look under the bike just in front of the rear tire and you should see the filter - it may be vertical or horizontal. As far as getting a new tire, your's looks slightly oversize, but you can still check the sidewall for the size# and go from there.

Your frt end is early 80's FX Wideglide
dual disc.
Hd/lamp is standard issue 7" (Fatboy Heritage etc)

FX made to look like an FL (Nicely done!!!)

Thanks for the replies and info - very helpful. For some reason there is no oil filter the oil line completely bypass on. there is no oil filter mount in front of the rear tire. Not sure why anyone would remove it????? Any ideas?

I am thinking of putting a remote filter somewhere up front. Won't look good but at least the oil will be filtered. Pete

My brother has a 1980 FXEF and if I'm not mistaken his oil filter is in the oil tank and he has to take the seat of to change it.

Default Great Video!

Jim thanks for the video. I'm going to go out and look one more time for the oil filter mount - although I'm pretty sure it is missing as the oil hoses completely bypass it and when I had a professional service done when I first bought the bike 2004 or so - the tech mentioned no oil filter.

Thanks again! Pete

The FXWG came out in 1980

The oil filter went down below in 1982

The oil filter is in the tank in under the filler cap, under the seat...It looks a little like an oily corn cob.
Front end is an early 80's "Wide Glide".

Take the seat off....The cap is on top of the oil tank, not the little one that you can see with the seat on.
