Default Misplaced another one

Well, this is the second time I misplaced (lost) my battery cover screw! Does anyone know off hand what the size is so I can go buy 2 or 3 of them?

This crap is happening more and more and I`m getting pretty frustrated.

On my FXDC it's 1/4-20 x 5/8. Get some chrome button head cap screws at Ace Hardware.

On that one when I remove the cover, first thing I do is screw the screw back in it's place so I don't lose it.

Should be standard paractice anytime you can unless something prevents you from doing this.

Something else I do if taking off a cover with multiple bolts is get a piece of cardboard and draw out a crude sketch of it and X the bolt holes.. then I poke a hole in each X and as I remove each bolt I put it in it's place.... helps keep them all in order since many times they are different lengths

That`s the first thing I usually do and I thought I did.
Here`s another one, I can`t find my seat bolt!! I bet it`s with the battery cover bolt. Luckily, I have 3 of them

This is too funny.
Getting older is so much fun.
You spend more time back tracking then going forward.
