Default Throttle Lock/Cruise Control

My first Harley, 2014 Low Rider with the standard 1" handle bars. I am looking for advice on selecting and installing a throttle lock. What has worked well? Also, can this bike be retrofitted with a real electronic cruise control?
Thanks.

What does that spring loaded star screw between the throttle cables do ? I have located it and turned it, now I am uncomfortable that is might be an adjustment I just messed up.

Yer okay...it is a carry over from the carb days when it was used mainly to set your bike at fast idle during warm up!

Yep, if ur ballsy enough u can use it as throttle lock, I usually use it on REALLY really long boring straights lol one thing to know tho it's not like. Cruise control that u can cancel out of by push of a button.. What gets screwed in needs to be screwed out or else your screwed... Pun intended haha. So if ur gonna use and IF an emergency comes up in front of u.. Clutch in Slow down and twist away lol

Thanks.
It is a friction system that can be used as a throttle lock. You should turn it clockwise slowly in small increments while twisting the throttle to feel the added resistance. At some point it will not allow the spring loading on the throttle to return without you doing it. It can be used as a quazzie cruise control but if you are not an experienced rider it can get you in lots of trouble in a panic stop situation. Scratch that, it can get you in a lot of trouble even IF you ARE an experienced rider...

I like that, any install issues? I get nervous when I see drill bit and switch housing in the same sentence

I use an Omni-Cruise, about $20. no drilling and works like a charm. Takes < a minute to install or remove.
