I have a set of mag wheels off of an 06 dyna. My plans where to get them powder coated and then have the new 25mm bearings installed. They had one inch bearings in them from the factory. I had a guy tell me yesterday that he tried this and the dealership told him they would not do the swap because the new bearings for the the dynas (25mm) would not seat in flush on the older style mags that had the one inch bearing in them without machine work. I thought this was only an issue with putting 05 and earlier mag wheels on the newer dynas. So my question is does this guy or the dealer know what he is talking about or are the 25mm bearing thicker than than the one inch bearings. Has anyone done this swap on a 12 or 13 model dyna. the 25mm bearings that Harley uses now are single row verses the older 07 and below double row 1 inch bearings... so actually the 25 mm bearings are alot narrower but the outer diameters are the same...they will seat alot deeper in an 07 and below wheels. no machine works gonna fix that... I would try and find 25mm double row bearings somehwre that specializes in bearings... easiest fix is to get 1 inch axles and use 1 inch double row bearings...
