I didn't even know that these existed, wondering if I should get them or stick with the original Plan to get a Crash bar with pegs?
Im 6'5 and don't really like crash bars,etc... these extensions really made a big difference for my legs.

Just got off the phone with Kury tech support.

The guy I spoke to seemed convinced they were not supposed to be threaded, but he still had to read the instructions to see what I was talking about. He thought the bolts should just "push through". I explained that there is no way these bolts are going through unless they have threads. I have all the hardware that is listed in the instructions, the correct style and size of bolts, so it's not a case of wrong bolt size/type.

Someone's wrong.

He told me to send them back to Amazon.

I have a tap, and that was the plan on Saturday, but after my brother and I discussed tapping these plates, we decided to hold off until talking to Kury tech support. His concern (and he's done this sort of work before) was keeping the tap straight given the equipment we had (no machine shop here, just a vise and bench in the garage), as well as the concern of damaging the chrome plating and have corrosion start near the bolt hole. And all of this was also a concern if I needed to send them back (we thought Kury might just send me another set and ask for these back to check them out).

I'll just ship them back to Amazon. I don't want to deal with tapping them.

Default Well whaddaya know, they ARE supposed to be threaded

Got the replacements from Amazon (via Leatherup) today, and looky here. The front two holes are threaded.

Kuryakyn tech support gets an "F" for FAIL.

That was a pretty big miss on their part. Glad you got it resolved.
