raining up here so I decided to do a little better mock up of the Shovel Nacelle, everything lines up nicely, just need to found out if it is possible to weld a nut to the chrome lower tree, I have a wire feed welder and am willing to try, but not sure if that can be done.

I responded to your other thread, but if you have a early 2000ish night train front end the lower tree should be steel not aluminum. I missed that in the "welder" thread.

Thank you. I didn't realize the covers from the earlier bikes would fit. Hmmm...

Your bike is killer, Rob. Very sharp.

Finally! I am following this thread, because I've wanted to put the fork tins from a Fatboy/Heritage on my Softail Standard (which has a 41mm WideGlide Front end, if I'm not mistaken) but there's nothing I can find to do it. I have a set of tins en route for $60 that I'll be painting black anyway. I'm gonna be watching closely, and I'll try not to hound you for pics lol. I would like to see the mounting points that you have to add though.

Patrick! Haven't seen you on here in a while! Love the Nacelle on the SB. Will be watching also.Didn't forum member Hooligan just do this recently?

I was just lurking for a while, til I got my Softail. I'll hafta check out Hooligans posts to see if he's done it... I have a full set of fork tins for $60 to order tomorrow, but kinda wishing I could do the nacelle.
