Default Left Turn Signal Indicator and High Beam Indicator Not Working

Hi,

After washing the bike I found out the left turn signal light indicator and the high beam indicator has stopped working.

Opened the front instrument panel and found the LED lights are attached to the wiring harness in a small black box(Part No. 72657-12) which is costing $108.

Is there a cheaper way to fix it? it doesn't make sense to replace the whole wiring harness for just 2 bad led's

2013 FatBoy Lo

Thanks

Pritam

Indicator in the speedometer on that year? Check the back of the speedometer for a loose plug.

No it's not in the speedometer it's a strip of lights below the speedometer.
The 5 led's are on a small circuit board.

Hi,

Yes, I've had the same issue on my 2013 Fat Boy. I've had the panel replaced twice by the dealer while the bike was under warranty, but it's gone again. Always the same two lights, the left turn signal and the full beam. Seems to happen after I wash the bike - I've tried sponge and bucket only, in case it was something I was doing with the hose.

Never had this issue with my Heritage Softail I previously had. As yet, I haven't found a solution, but will re post if I do.

Thanks for the sharing, checking if can buy those LED's and get them replaced.

Replace the wiring harness (also has the lights attached) Seems to be the only way.

All fixed now. I got a new wiring harness from a wrecked bike.
Happy to finally have it working.
It only took about 15 minutes all up.

I have the same problem for the second time this year. I have a 2011 FLSTN. The left turn signal indicator and high beam indicator stopped working after riding in a hard rain. Front and back turn signals working as usual, flashing at usual speed. I ordered the replacement harness from H-D (Part # 69029-11 $43.15) and replaced in 15 minutes. Worked like a charm.

Now just a few months later and the same thing has happened. Left indicator and high beam. I have given it enough time to dry out but no luck. It stays garage kept and on a tender at all times.

Any advice?
