Default Left turn lights don't work on sportster 2004 XL 1200R

Hi,
I'm about to buy a used 2004 1200 roadster, but the left turn lights currently don't work. Front, rear and right turn lights seem to work properly on the other hand.

Should I buy it? Is it something that can be expensive to fix? Can I do it myself?

Thanks

Check/replace the bulbs. A bad bulb will cause the signals to malfunction

Default Tail lights won't work when mounted onto frame

Thank you for your reply nhrider1.

So I bought the bike. I checked the bulbs, fuses and wiring and everything is good, actually when taking off the light mounts from the frame, all lights work perfectly. When mounting them back onto the frame, the front won't blink and the rear won't light up at all. There seem to have a short when the mount touches the frame.

What can I do??

Are the running lights in the front signal units working properly?

Yeah, head and rear lights work fine, speedo as well.

When unplugging both rear turn lights, both front turn lights work.

When plugging them back in, no turn lights work at all. Must be a short due to ground problem or something.

Also, when I dismount both rear turn lights from the frame, but keep them wired, everything works. It's literally when their mount touches the frame that the problem occurs...

Weirdest thing is the rear right was working fine, until I dismounted it to compare with the left side. Since then both don't work...

Also, all lights are stock, with incandescent bulbs.

Would there be some sort of ground wire that I would have disconnected without knowing? I haven't touched anything but the rear light connections. And haven't modified anything, really.

Could it just be the rear fender that's not grounded properly?

Only when disconnecting both rear turn lights. OR when the rear lights aren't mounted to the frame.

If not they don't light up at all.

And actually, when the front turn lights do work, they blink fast a few times and then go normal. From what I have read, it seems to indicate open circuit or bad bulbs. Bulbs are good, so... Open circuit?
