Default 95 harley davidson heritage softail ignition switch wiring diagram

I'm looking for a wire diagram for my softail. I think the wires might be hooked up wrong causing one wire to get hot. Now I plan o doing a test by grounding the wires to see what each one does, due to me not having a digram showING what the wires colors are. If you think this a bad way to test, please let me know. O and it's a 6 post wiring with jumpers.

Thanks for reading.

Grounding out wires is no way to test a circuit.

You need a service manual, before you ruin the wiring harness.

Yea to what Dan said.
Wires get hot because they are overloaded, or because there is resistance because of corrosion.
Clean your connections, dielectric grease, take the switch apart and clean it also.

You need a service manual, get it at your local dealer, all you have to do is hand them the money.

It will have the proper wiring diagram.
