Default Brake lights stopped working

Hello! I have a 2001 sportster 883 and I'm having issues with my brake lights. I checked the bulb and it's good. My back and front does not work. Any suggestions would help. I'm trying to avoid taking it to a dealer. Thanks!

Fuse and sensing unit (make sure wires didn't come off). Check both. Clean any corrosion in the fuse block while you're at it.

Thank you! I will definitely try is and see if that will fix the problem. I wasn't sure if it had brake switches or not.

Does the horn work? It is powered by the same circuit (Accessory Circuit)...

Funny you asked that. I purchased a new horn and it does not work. I love this bike but it has some small stuff that needs done to it. My left side for my turn signals stopped working today.

Fuses, grounding, and corrosion. More time than money, double check.

Try this.... If fuse the is good, locate the rear brake light sending unit switch and remove both wiring connectors. Use a steel paper clip as a jumper wire between the connectors. (Use a steel paper clip without any plastic coating on it. Also, to avoid blowing a fuse, don't allow the paper clip to touch the bike. Next, turn on the ignition and press the brake pedal. If the light illuminates, the sending unit switch is bad.

Have the same problem. fuse is good, and stop relay is good. I did not check switches, but both front and back stop light failed at the same time so I done think it is the switch. Appreciate any help. Also can someone tell me where the control module is located?

Ok problem solved, and feeling a little dumb. I read in another thread that brake light and horn were both on Acc fuse. My horn worked so I did not check fuse. I have 2003 Road King and brake is on a separate fuse. Hope this helps someone else.
