I run a NUVI GPS on my Limited, I supply power from the cig lighter plug, I don't like all the excess wire, wire tied to the handlebar! What are you all doing to power your unites? Direct wire, which I've done, but with constant power to the unit. Does anyone make a shorty power cord for Garmins that may only be about a foot long, or shorter?

 

I hard wired mine to the back of the cig/lighter and the power is switched...only on when the bike is on.

 

So, drill a hole in the inner fairing, run the cord to the CIG lighter and call it good? That would work!
