Hi all
I did a cam change to my 2012 FXDC 96ci. I used v thunder pushrods and fueling lifters SE 255 cams. The lifter made that part of the motor very quiet.
I was wondering if I did roller rockers if it will make the top end even quieter?

Do you need the valve train to be quieter than very quiet ?

If anything, roller rockers will make the valve train noisier.

 

no reason for roller rockers with 255 cams,save the $$ on the roller rockers,throw out the 225`s and spend the saved $$ on S&S .583 cams (these cams still wouldn't warrant roller rockers either)

 

As already said, no need for roller rocker arms in your current configuration, but, if you do come to the point where you'd need them, S&S units are the best production rocker out there.
