Has anybody seen this new setup? Pretty trick stuff. Looks like $349 for the plate, and $399
for the pump. Maybe a little discount if you buy both. Cost seems comparable with the Fueling
HD+. And cheaper than their race line. The S&S
has oil pressure adjustments built into the cam plate. The million dollar question is, is it worth the cash? Say over the screamin eagle cam plate and pump that retail for about $430.

 

The new S&S stuff does look trick. I would also consider the Dan Thayer setup at that price...

Glad you chimed in Scott. Would there be any benifit to this setup? I still think the SE billet plate and HV oil pump would be perfectly fine. And half the cost. I agree this pump is a Dan Thayer pump. With blue anodizing...

 

I'd use your existing OE stuff unless something has happened to them.

My indy ordered one of these set ups a few weeks ago for one of his customer's bikes. He couldn't get any oil pressure after the install. The guts were missing from the adjustable oil pressure regulator. He called them and they said they would replace the cam plate with a new one with the correct parts.

In their defense, as long as they took care of it, no harm/no foul.
S&S is a GREAT outfit, but the Dan Thayer pump thing, rubbed me the wrong way.....

Nice pump and plate! A little more forgiving with cranks that have a bit more run out.
