Default Is there anymore Torque to be Gained?

I'm wanting to increase my low end torque if at all possible. I do not care about horsepower as I never go above 4500 RPM and will not use it.

2015 FLSTN SE 110 kit - 10.5:1, Stock heads, SE 585 cam, GLS Ultimate Intake, Rinehart crossbacks. Stock throttle body.

I have been told heads and TB increase HP not torque. So my question is, is there anymore torque to be gained from this motor? I just upgraded to 110 so ci increase is out.

If you want to increase the low end, get rid of those goofy Rineharts and purchase a good 2 into 1 exhaust such as a set-up from D&D in Ft. Worth.

So you are saying my TQ will go up with a 2 in 1 ... to what? Is 140 TQ possible at 96 HP?

Actually the Crossbacks are a decent exhaust. At 127 TQ, that motor is making near 1.2 ft.lb. of TQ per cubic inch; not too shabby considering the HD kit and cams. I would be working on the HP number which means head work. The heads are not taking advantage of the air flow available from the intake. Headwork and retune will pick up the HP number and quite possibly another few ft.lb. of TQ. That HP figure is pitiful, should be at least 115...... I would spend the money on headwork and keep the Crossback pipes. JMHO............

I will second the cross back thumbs up. Rinehart staff will tell you they do better than their 2-1. Headwork will bump the TQ number more in the mid and carry it out as the hp climbs. The bike will just feel stronger in every rpm. Go for it Never heard of anyone regretting head work.

If you want more torque that you can feel, then change your final gear ratio.

Maybe it's just me, but the dip in your TQ curve from 2K to 3k RPM seems to tell that either your exhaust or your tune is hurting your throttle response.

Just guessing, but from your post, you don't think your twist the throttle TQ rush is where you want it.

That dip in TQ from 2K to 3K will really flatten your throttle response.

Your peak TQ is great, your HP is OK, but those are not relative to throttle response.

That motor is making about 110TQ when the dip occurs. That motor rolls right through the dip and while it shows up on the dyno sheet, it does not register on the butt dyno......
