Default Exhaust Leak!!!!

I just put a set of vance and hines oval slip ons on my 2008 Street Glide. I can not get the clamps tight enough to stop the exhaust leaks on both mufflers. Is this normal and if not how do I fix the problem?

Default exhaust leak

i know the feeling. try to loosen everthing again. to include the bracket bolts. and alternetly between the bolts retighten them again. go between the two heads. then clamp down the braket bolts. i had the same problem. it just didnt like the way it was clamping down. when i loosed it back up and jiggled it up. i noticed during tighting process it angled itsself up a little differently. leak fixed.. by the way if you have like a halloween smoke fogger. you put that thing close to the joints and watch exactly where the leak is. hope that helps.

+1 to MAFOSA. You can try buying some new muffler clamps too. I went that route, but in the end I got a full set of pipes and no more worries about exhaust leaks. Those HD muffler clamps are a real pain. Ask me how I know! :-)
