My (identical) 92 fxdc has a vacuum operated pingel. Don't know if the factory one was. Nice bike by the way!

Was pretty sure it would have been, seems stupid to put one (vacuum) in place where one hadn't been.

Glad nothing major got broke in the mishap. Ride on. As a side note on my 92 I do not have a vacuum operated petcock. It may have been changed prior to me owning it.

Those vacuum operated petcocks cause people a lot of trouble.

I just changed mine and it made draining the tank a little more difficult.

I have 95 Heritage. I went back with oem petcock, but it was a revised design which seems to be better.
