1994 Super Glide FXR
Have a chance to pick up a 94 FXR. Here's the pro and cons:
Pro's:
S&S 113 crate motor installed in 2001.
Pro One Chrome wheels, matching pulley
Chrome brake rotors
Chrome swingarm
Drag bars internally wired
All braided lines
Custom candy black ghost flame paint
3 corbin seats
Bub pipes
Chrome outer primary, starter, lower legs
Wide glide front end
New battery
Low miles on Avon tires
Cons:
Odometer doesn't work and hasn't for a long time. No way of really knowing how many miles are on the engine. Need new Speedo/Odometer combo.
Triple trees and lower legs need re chroming
Carb won't hold an idle (probably just needs a small adjustment)
No directionals.
Asking $7,500. Not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze on this one.

Agree with texas hill country - unless you want this style of significantly altered FXR. For example, the wide glide front end would not be a "pro" to many FXR enthusiasts who, like me, spent time and labor to restore one to OEM. For the $7,500, you could get an FXR about which you would know more of the history (odometer) and be able to modify exactly the way you want.
