Default Plz help! What transmission do I have!

I've been waiting 2 weeks for everything to come in to put this damn bike together and here the seals r and nothing fits! I have titled as a 89 fltc tour glide classic. I'm trying to do the shift seal and main drive seal. The seal that came in the James gasket kit 12050 has a inner diameter hole to small for the collar. No seal is close from my primary gasket set to fit the shifter. Since no one of that worked I moved onto the inner primary seals. The inner large o ring is a hair too small also. Wtf!

I can't see it very well but I think the number on the seal that came from the bike is either
Oe0901e or 3106030 depending on which way u read it. Really hard to see
The inner diameter is 2 1/4"
The James is 2"

what you got is a 5 speed shovel set - very thin o ring for the front primary compared to the original - actually 3 different ones exist - the smaller hole main seal is also a shovel --

go to a local indy he will have in stock all the correct ones - bring what you have from the bike not what you bought to match up

Well I did some searching and it looks like this seal
https://m.denniskirk.com/genuine-james/large-mainshaft-oil-seal.ph260702.prd/H260702.sku

How can this be? is it possible?

The larger hole inner diameter seal is the one I have.....not sure if that's what u meant

A shovel gear set is better than what was in there?

If you are not the original owner, research the tranny to see if it is stock/original or bin swapped at some point. Just a consideration.

I don't have a way to contact PO. But I was planning on swapping to a 6spd and exposed belt that are 91-up specs later in the winter.
I would like to know cause I always felt like the gears rev out quick especially at top speed
