Default What stator and reg would u use?

Well went a bit overboard with my rebuild. Turned into full on build. What would most of u use for a stator and regulator if u had a clean slate. I have my reg already tucked up out back. But want to fit all the parts and wiring before I paint. I'll rewire and remount parts. No big deal... What brand? Not going to cheap out. Just want long lasting and good...yep I know pretty rare these days!! Lol
Thanks!!

I would use OEM parts from HD.

I would use the biggest OEM HD part set available, which is the 32 amp, I think. I had the part number for it, but I can't seem to find it. Anyway, it is like the last one they made for Evos, or the one just before that which is the biggest that will fit on my bike.

I would consider the Cycle Electric 3 phase system if I was convinced that I could buy a regulator at any HD dealer. I'm not sure.

It's important to me to be able to find parts when I'm on the road, should I need them.

That's my thinking too,

I think '97-'05 touring bikes has a 45amp single phase system on injected models, '06 and up went to three phase.

Cycle Electrics is what I used.
Lots of recommendations when I asked your question a while back.

It's not my road trip bike anymore.....so 200-300 Mile day is about all it will ever see now a days. Just a firkin Hot Rod now. It was a 98 ultra with EFI. MAYBE I will just put a new stock one in it. Never gave me any trouble. Only run a stereo no amp. Few lights. Big batt. Just figured with all the time and money I spent I shouldn't put the ole one out of the 80 inch motor in it.

I was thinking it just might be a 45amp. Have to try to ID it. Back off the shelf the ole 80 has to come. Lol
