I ride my WG every summer here in the sunny San Fernando Valley, where summer temps get up to 110°F. My Evo runs great. And yes, as everyone has mentioned, jet it rich and it'll be fine. I also run Mobil 1 20W-50 V-Twin oil. Not one problem.

It's OK to ride in 100+ temps, it's the idling that kills. If I had traffic congestion or a heavy string of stoplights to deal with on a hot day like tat I'd consider leaving the Dyna at home.

Been riding my 98 FXDWG for 13 years in CA and AZ desert heat with no overheating problems. I use Mobil 1 synthetic oil to help ensure heat doesn't break down the lubrication properties.

The heat is why I run synthetic since it has a higher upper limit. It probably doesn't even matter and doesn't come close to max temperature for conventional oil but it eases my mind.

Heat affects my body more than the bike. Every time I stop for gas, I cool off in the store and drink a quart sized bottle of water.

I have been thinking about an oil cooler or fans again lately but still reach the same conclusion, not needed on on my old bike. The EV13 cam brought down my temperature significantly compared to the stock cam.

TD Get a dyno and you can just ride in your garage, won't have to strap the fan that way Sir.
