The wife and I went for a 250 mile ride yesterday. It was 90 degrees which is about as hot as I want to ride in.
It doesn't get that hot here too often and the bike never got overheated but damn it was uncomfortable any time we stopped.
What the hottest temp you've ever hidden in?
Do you have a temp that is just too damned hot ride in?
Over 90 is a norm during the summer, virtually every day.
Over 100 many, many times (but not in Florida)
The south away from the coast and the southwest gets hotter than the hubs of hell.
I can handle riding in the heat. I've sworn off riding in the cold.
We ride in 90-106 all the time here, yesterday it was 102 when I pulled in from a poker run. I handle the heat pretty well, that being said....cold, not so much.
That temp. is recorded in the shade, as all official ones are. I don't get to ride in the shade very often.
My thermometer read 120 yesterday, but I've ridden around Lake Mead going to Vegas when it was pegged at 130. Checked into the hotel, jumped in the pool and sent the wife for beer (chase vehicle).
