I am considering a 1994 Ultra Classic, 13,000kms on the new engine. I'm not above some wrench work but am not a mechanic either. Some folks say to get something newer as they have fewer issues than older bikes. This one has a lot of adds to it and is running around $10,000. I'm seeing newer bikes with lots of mileage on them for just a bit more. I know this guy too and he's a stand up guy and is only selling as he has stopped riding. Bike has sat for 2 years but has been well maintained and is show room quality.

Thoughts?

The Harley engine that is supposed to be in that bike is an 80ci engine.

I really appreciate the feedback guys. I'm excited but don't want to get caught up in having a Harley rather having the right Harley. I don't know what it is about the Glides. Just love them.

The last time I was in Indonesia the exchange rate was 1.5k rupia to the dollar.
That was back in '93 and I don't know what it is now.

As an owner of a 94 Ultra Classic I will say it is a nice scoot. I have a 96" in it I built a couple of years back and a 113" that was in it prior. Never have actually ridden a stock evo powered scoot as I went from a stroker shovel to the dresser with a larger motor. Also running a 6 speed in it since I got it. Love that here in Texas with 75 mph highways.

Everything works perfectly on mine so it is a nice ride over all.

Paid $4750 for this one 4 years ago. Spent another $1k to $1500 getting everything back in top shape. It could use a little more power but she will eat up some pavement all day long.

I have a 1994, that I've had for a two years. Runs great. Per an earlier comment, the only thing to be aware of is getting parts, as most stores and sites only carry parts for 1997 and newer.

You can always find a better deal, but you'll know when you find the right deal. Whichever bike you end up with, enjoy it!

I myself have a 1994 Ultra.. However it looks like a street glide. When I bought it, it was missing the King Pack. Anyway, I've rebuilt the engine and got some really good power in it with an Andrews EV-27 and flowed and ported heads. Other than that, it's a GREAT bike.. Would buy another one in a heartbeat! And I also have an '09 Road Glide as well. Prefer the frame of the '94!

Finding accessories that fit the 94 and 95 models can be difficult.
Other than that I would buy another one.
