Default What is the weight of HD's primary/tranny fluid

I've put in a Baker OD6 in my '88 FLHS and in the Baker literature they recommend Spectra 75w-140, Torco 85w-140 or Belray 85w-140. All I can find around here is Valvoline, Walmart's SuperTech and Rotella in those weights. I'm just curious as to what the weight is in HD's trans fluid and which one might be my best choice. I'd like to get this changed before I take off for Sturgis on Saturday. Thanks in advance.

Any of the ones you mentioned will work fine. My personal preference is the Rotella, but you really can't go wrong with any of 'em.

That would about figure. After I started this thread, I figured I better go buy some before the stores closed and got the Valvoline. BTW, how do you like the Nightster, they look like they'd be a lot of fun.

How does your bike run with that 6 speed? I'd be interested in doing that to mine too. What RPM are you turning on the highway at 70mph?

Well to be totally honest, I think I set myself up for some engine mods. At 75 mph, when I shift into 6th it drops the rpms down to about 2800. Really starts to bog on the motor, I think it's too low and out of the power band. The bike has an S&S carb, Dyna 2000 ignition, a Mikuni Pass-a-Truck cam and is piped. When I made the tranny swap, I also put in a 3"BDL belt primary, but I don't know what effect that would have on gearing. I get better mileage in 5th at 75 than 6th, also. But it gives me more to play with.
