97 fatboy with evo motor. Starter probs

Hey. Got a 97 evo motor. High comp motor, installed reliefs, still blowing starter clutches. Why? See that there exists a Gen 3 starter, practically 600 bucks. Worth it?
How do I alleviate starter problems?

What starter clutches are you using?? Try Weldon Spragg style starter clutch. You will need their HR-1. We use them in all our big engines and haven't had problems yet.
