Default fram oil filters?

Whats wrong with them? I can get them at fleet farm for $5.00 a pop and they are made for my motorcycle. Honestly, have any of you personally seen problems with them?

Hi Brett, we thrashed the subject of oil filters to death a while ago! Here ya go! Skip over the first posts, as the topic opens up pretty quickly. In summary, use the genuine article IMHO, saves a lot of trouble and only costs pennies more.

Fram... not once, not ever. I was "fram-curious" for a while but no thanks. There are better filters for less, like WIX.

Next time you order auto parts from Rock Auto, get a Wix 57148 (TC engines), about $6.50 or so.

Or a 51215 for Evo, $5.18

Wow at 5 to seven bucks I'd be changing that thing like underwear at least once a month.
