Default Harley exhaust gaskets VS screaming eagle gaskets

Need some feedback on harley stock exhaust gaskets compared to screaming eagle exhaust gaskets. I have a softail that I will be putting on the vance and hines big shot staggered and they recommend using the screaming eagle flat style gasket over the harley cone style gasket. Has anyone used the screaming eagle ones before? just wondering how they work out. Thanks for your input.

I have had great luck with the Screamin Eagle ones and they are cheaper. Whichever way you go recheck and retighten them after a couple hundred miles.

Use what V&H is telling you to use.

I like the stock Harley gaskets over the S E .
but I would use what V&H recommends

I used the SE gaskets with my V&H Power Duals and they sealed up great. Also, they are alot easier to install, at least for me, than the stock cone gaskets.

And, to re-iterate what rlast1 said, go back and check the torque. I re-did mine after the first ride, and a couple times since (I only have about 500 miles since the install). Each time the nuts had loosened, especially after the first ride.

Default does this OEM gasket still look good enough to re-use?

I pulled off my headers to get ready for new V&H shorties. I was going to pull out the stock gasket, but I saw on another thread that you don't necessarily need to replace them. I have a pair of new HD gaskets I purchased, but it sounds like they're sorta bitch to get in?
Anyways, if anyone wouldn't mind looking at the photo and giving opinions. thanks.

Looked at the pic.
It is my opinion that port work be performed.

You could probably get by with the gaskets that are in there.
New stock harley gaskets, the tapered ones do take a little bit of work to get in place.
Screaming Eagle gaskets slide in pretty easy.
I was just goofing about the picture, stock ports, need to have some port work done on them.
