Default easy exhaust question

I just picked up an 05 springer softail classic and noticed that the exhaust has a bad leak. Where there pipe runs under the seat and connects to the other pipe it is very loose. there is no bracket attaching the two either, it is just loosely put in there. I have no clue how it is supposed to be attached together where it wouldn't leak, do I just need to get a muffler clamp and put exhaust sealant on it? any suggestions are welcome, thanks.

There should be a clamp there, no sealant is required.

Not 100% about the softail pipes, but the 2:2's on the Dyna have a gasket between the two join pipes as well as a clamp.

after looking at a diagram (which I should have done before asking a dumb question), I saw that there is a gasket and a washer that go in between and no clamp. I will just have to order those up asap. thanks for the help
