Default Andrews 37 Cams

I would like to hearfrom those of you who have installed the Andrews 37 cams. I am interested in what kind of bike and how they perform and if you like them or not, where the torque range seems to be, H.P.and mods you have. Not sure if this has been covered or not in a previous thread. Not trying to start any cam wars,[:@] just trying to get some info about this cam grindspecifically.

I have the TW-37 GEAR DRIVE ANDREWS CAMS. SE slip on,Race Tuner,95 inch big borestage 2 and dyno tuned. I get 85 HP and 100LB FT Torque. I love them and the power band is great from 1800-3900 RPM.

I ran them in my 06 Ultra which was 95" with stock heads, best dyno was 83 hp 96ft/lb. I didn't car for them, they were to soft on the bottom end for my taste. Lots of folks like them with more compression and head work. I pulled mine apart and did a HQ build which is what I wished I had done in the 1st place, it smokes the old build I had from the low end on up.

They are going on a 95" stage I motor, true duals, SE air box, PCIII/USB.

I have got them installed in my bike and like them overall except they are little weaker on the bottom end probably due to more of my Rinehart True Duals.
My build is as follow:
Compression: 9.8:1
95" wiesco forged pistons
Heads: ported
Andrews 37G
Adjus. Pusrods
All the other normal stuff.
98 horse and 104 torque.
No pinging problems and it pulls like hell when it comes on the cam. I would run the 9.7:1 or 9.8:1 compression from what I have been told.
My opinion I would use an advance gear or run a 2 into 1 exhaust for alittle better low end torque.
I have included my dyno sheet for you viewing sorry about the quality...
If I was going to do it over I would take alook at the Andrews 54 or run the 2 into 1 exhaust which is hopefully on the horizon.

I've got 37's in my 95" Road King. I see some complaints about being "soft down low". What is down low? My dyno guy doesn't do his WOT runs on any bike under 2700 rpm. Best way to tear up your bottom end, in his opinion. Anyhow, I'm getting 80 ft lbs at 2800 rpm, which is pretty stout. Peak is 94, the curve is flat, and it feels that way. My motor runs about 190 psi cranking compression, the static works out to about 9.6:1 with the flat top pistons and .030" head gaskets. I've got some fairly quiet SE slip-on touring exhausts (the old style), so my horsepower numbers level off around 5000. I don't feel that it's weak "down low" at all.

I plan on using the 37N in my 2001 SE RG and Andrews told me they would work better than my stock SE cam. I am happy with my bike now so some improvment will be just a bonus.
