Default Oil-spray(?) on rear headpipe and side cover after ride...

Hoping this isn't a big problem, but when i returned from only my second ride on my new-to-me 2000 RKC, about a 45 minute ride on the hiway, I noticed afterwards - while sitting in the house, I smelled a little like I just got done snowblowing (you know, that smell) - so, I went out to the garage and looked over the bike and I noticed that there is what appears to be a clear, mild smelling oil-spray near the top of the rear-right head pipe and on the right side cover and on the front of the right saddle bag.......am I screwed??? What is this from??? I started the bike and could not see any spray - nor do I see oil anywhere else (in the garage light at night with a flashlight) so I can't tell where it's coming from.

Nervously waiting repies....

If that doesn't catch this, carefully clean that area as good as you can. Clean and dry. Short run to warm up. That way any new leak area will show up real well.

If it's coming out of the air cleaner, you likely need the oil pump re-aligned. You can get more ideas on blowby from here:

Pull a compression and leak down test; the results will help isolate the problem.

I'd say breather or a bad o-ring in one of the rear pushrod tubes.

it will most likely be the rear push rod tube, look for the o-ring to be either pinched or rolled over allowing the oil to pass by it,might was very intermitted leaking, found it with ultrviliot dye in my oil,and a black light

Did you guys decide that was the case? I installed new pipes and the SE forward facing air breather last week. I got this spray the first time I started it up, and then it was fine until today. I went out to show a few co-workers my new pipes and started it up. Spray almost immediately. We waited a few seconds and started it up again and nothing. I think I traced it to the breather, but don't know for sure...
