Default Most hp out of a 96" twin cam ?

I was wanting to get the most horsepower out of 09 96" Street Glide and was thinking about getting some headwork and a cam and a good tune. Whats the best cams and head combo for the most torque ? How much power can you get out of a 96" motor without boring it out. Does screaming eagle makes heads that i can bolt on instead of sending mine off and get ported and polished? One more question, I just have rush slip ons and i hear all this talk on the power the thunderheader gets. Would it be worth the $600 to drop my rush slip ons and get the thunderheader?

Thanks

baisley heads
t-man 525 cam
tts tuner
you will see over 105/105 you have to not get into the numbers game as if the mark is not met customers are un happy.
but that combo i mentioned will acheive that with no problem
yes the t-header is good but the fat cat is better
altho with the combo i just mentioned a set of slip and stock head wpie
call Dave at JD,s cycle works 1-610-297-0321 he has done a dozonsor so of these builds with stock cylinders and pistons just head work and cam plus tune

IF, you opted to bore your cylinders to 107", and a Wood 400-6, with a the heads set-up for that combination, huge torque coming up through, and the ability to rip a good hp number as well.
Mucho power everywhere.

Im debating on wether to do the 103" bb kit or put that toward sending my stock heads of and get them ported and polished. I think having ported and polished heads would give me better hp and less heat then just the 103" with stock heads. About how much does it cost to get my heads ported and polished by a good professional?

Your heads are not that bad. Best bet, IMHO, is the 103" kit with a .030" head gasket, Andrews 37/TMan 525 or 555 cams, TTS Mastertune or TMax w/Autotune, air cleaner upgrade, good tune and,for the time being anyway, keep your slipons, get her tuned and ride. The heads changed in '06 and for a street build, don't need much work. Money better spent increasing displacment and cams but that's just me.

A BigBoyz 'street port' job is $299 but there is an additional charge for decking, if required, to achieve you desired compression and for the cost of larger valves, which, IMHO, you don't need. From there, the next jump is to somewhere between $600 and $1000, depending on what you want.

I skipped the big bore with no regrets, stock pistons, valves, pushrods and no compression releases. If I was cam shopping it would be the Wood TW5-6 or the Cycle Rama 575.

I grabbed 91 HP and 109 TQ out of my 96" without any headwork.

2009 FLTR, 96", SE-204 cam, D&D Fat Cat (standard baffle), SE Heavy breather, and used the SEST for the tuning device.
Just recently sold the bike and the buyer reported 49 MPG on the way home.

Our American Iron 98"er tune is incomplete, and is currently showing 122 hp, SAE.
Only 1.6" larger that the 96"s.
