I have been getting alot of pinging when the air temp gets above 90 deg. Just a simple roll on while cruising 65 on freeway wil make it ping.

I can only get 92 Octane at the pumps here in good ol AZ. Could this be a timing Issue?

Could be, are you still running just the basic Stage 1 ECM download from Harley? If so I would have it tuned. With those cams also it may be a bit lean causing extra heat in the combustion chambers. A good tune can do wonders.

had same issue with my 2011 SG..was random last season.. I made my PV map a little ritcher in the zone where it was pinging and did go away.. need to see what happens this year if it ever gets warm here...

 

Timeing and running lean.

Possible a colder spark plug might help a little.

 

yea i agree and call bullshit. 50 degrees here and rain. cant ride anyway since no paint yet but can still be pissed about it.
