Default Evo top end rebuild(first timer!)

I figured i would make a build tread on this....so here it is.YES, this is the FIRST TIME I'v tore into a harley motor,got learn sooner or later!!
Well,got the top end apart today.Going to get the heads and jugs sent off sometime this comeing week. here is a coupleshots of how it sits right now...I'll take more more pics tomorrow....

Ok got more pics.Some or alot of you might think its no big deal,thats fine.BUT some us(includeing me) havent been inside a big twin...so here is how it looks!
Couple shot the jugs or cyl's whatever you want to call them,same difference..
Still has the cross-hatches.. I just layed them on a orange rag just trying to get a better view...

Here is the heads.I noticed that on the rear head there is 4 tool marks.looks like a drill done them...but anyway...you can see something going on with the exhaust valve...its wet with oil!!! And yep, it was coming out of the exhaust pipe,BUT, wasnt smoking!

Here is the pistons...again, front has some SERIOUS carbon and oil baked on it!!!

I dont know if you can see it, but where the lifters go, there is some milk(oil and water mixed) there is ALOT in this bike! I'm going to drop the pan and take the oil tank lid off and try to clean all this mess out of it befor it goes back together.I dont know if it was in a flood and just condensation built up,but i know its way to much!

last one for the day...I got to wear gloves! I work in different peoples houses everyday, cant go to work looking like a greese monkey!...

Cylinders look ok. Lot of carbon on those pistons.
