Hi,
I want to disassemble the piece around the direction lock in order to adjust some GPS cables ('01 RK Classic).
Do I need to disassemble the whole lamp ? Does anybody have a chart ?

What's a direction lock? If you are talking about the handlebar clamp cover, here's what you do:

- Take a thin screwdriver and pry the plastic ring from around the lock. Take out the 2 screws under the ring.

-Take off headlight trim ring.

- Take 10 or so screws out around head light that hold headlight bucket in, unplug headlight and lay to side.

- Reach in nacelle and take metal speed nut off of the spear trim piece and remove piece.

-Take machine screw out that holds front of clamp cover down. The cover will now come off.

There might be a problem. I just saw that you are not in the US. Most international models do not have Phillips head screws under the plastic ring around the fork lock. They have some sort of security screw that you have to drill out.
