Default 2007 sportster low

Wife wants to lower her 1200 low found 10" shocks for it wondering if rear fender will rub.

Dave, don't do it! The lower the shocks the less travel there is and the harsher the ride. This is made worst because only cheap shocks are available in those sizes, because the better brands won't make them! If you fit them she may never ride the thing ever again! Save your money.

Why would she like her bike lower?

They do make the super-low now. How much lower is it than the regular low and how do they achieve it? Maybe someone will chime in.

We studied one at a bike show in November. The Superlow has smaller diameter wheels, 18" front and 17" rear with modern low profile tyres and better grade suspension front and rear, to improve ride. In the flesh it sits quite different to the other Sportsters. Not sure how it compares with previous models, or how it would help Dave's wife, unless he lets her try one!
